ABOUT

About At One Press

If there is any place in the world where a publishing house such as At One Press can exist, it is Canada.  Given our longstanding commitment to diversity, it seems logical that At One Press would have a home here. We are dedicated to showing the world the multi-dimensional way in which we live our lives.  To date, Canada's cultural and linguistic versatility is already demonstrated in our television programming, radio broadcasts, newspapers and now it is time to showcase it in our literature.

Increasingly, Canadians live with more than one culture and language. In order for diversity to strive in this country we need to acknowledge that living a bicultural, bilingual life is natural, normal and engaging.  As many Canadians journey on a daily basis from one culture to another, one language to another, at times with ease and at times with discomfort, we begin to understand that multiculturalism, the ‘experiment in the making’ that Canada has embraced, is actually working.

At One Press is committed to plurilingualism. We want multiple communities to participate in creating Canadian literature, and also encourage the greater Canadian public to enjoy literature from many parts of the world.
